Adult Rehabilitation is often required after some form of physical, mental and/or emotional trauma. This can be after a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), a CVA(Cerebella Vascular Stroke) or after a Post Traumatic Stress experience. Occupational Therapy also helps people with degenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s, Dementia as well as psychiatric conditions.
Addiction work is working using the 12 Steps as structure, harnessing fellowship, emotional awareness and regulation as well as individual responsibility to make positive change and be in Recovery.
The Occupational Therapist works together with the person and their support system.
