Shona has been working in Private Practice for more than twenty years. She is a mother of two children with a menagerie of cats and dogs. Shona enjoys gardening, art, Nia dancing, body work, creativity and being in nature.
Shona has lived in the , McGregor and Kommetjie. Now she and her husband have settled near the coast of Muizenberg and its mountains.
Shona enjoys her work as an Occupational Therapist and is passionate about helping people reach their full potential in their lives, be this a child or an adult requiring emotional awareness and stability, cognitive reskilling, optimal function, individually and within their family systems.
Shona is a registered member of the Health Professions Council of South Africa, Occupational Therapy Association of South Africa, Western Cape Private Practitioners Group, Psychiatric Occupational Therapists Journal Club, SA Neuropsychological Association and the Health and Care Professions Council of the United Kingdom.
Shona has studied numerous modalities which she utilises in her personal life and in work. Some of these are Sandplay work, Educational Kinesiology, Body Talk, Dorn Method, Yoga, Aromatherapy, Neuro Art Facilitation, Sensory Integration (Consciousness Coaching, Ageless Grace and breathwork.
